FRANK FRAZETTA / CD COVER ART FOR THE BAND, THE DEAD ELVI / BUDDY BOUGHT THE FARM
Back in early 2003 I commissioned my friend Frank Frazetta to do an album cover for my band, The Dead Elvi! We are a horror surf rock band and who better to do our second CD cover than Frank. Although he art has appeared on other music albums such as Molly Hatchet, Nazareth, and Wolfmother, all the images they had licensed to use for there cover art were works that already have been created. Our band was the first band and only band to have an original concept and design created just for us! At the time Frank wasn't really drawing or painting but agreed to do the cover for me. This is the original pencil artwork that he did. It measures about 10" X 14".
