X-Men #20 by Jonathan Hickman & Francesco Mobili
As usual, a great experience working with Annabel Kirby on a purchase. Nimrod was a character sweet spot from my early days of comic book reading. When he was featured for the cover of X-Men #20 and I noticed a newer member of Annabel's team, Francesco Mobili, was on art duties, I quickly expressed that I'd be interested in some pages, with the notion of buying the complete issue in the back of my head. Once I was able to preview the pages, I knew taking down what's likely my only chance to own a complete issue of an X-book was the right move. Annabel & I came to an agreement quickly and I'm thrilled to add this to the collection. Not only is the art great with clean lines, attention to detail, and an excellent action sequence, but it represents the modern origin of Nimrod, further escalation of Mutant/Human tensions, as well as what appears to be Mystique's spark for this Fall's Inferno series. Bonus points for the rare Moira X appearance to close out the issue. Over the moon with this acquisition and looking forward to it staying in the collection for a long time. Thank you so much to Annabel & Francesco for helping me make this happen (and better art scans than I'd produce on my own)!
