Edgar Martin's Boots and Her Buddies artwork develops fast and changes much during his career, but in early dailies he showed excellent
craftmanship. Martin had a fabulous feeling for what was typical, or today perhaps stereotypical, of the time: hairstyles, clothes, cars etc, and
I can practically touch and smell the long gone 1920s and 30s when I looking at these panels. Not much of the strip has been reprinted and
I have only read very limited parts of the run, but that's no reason why I can't appreciate the artwork. This is pure yummy for an art collector
like me ... and pretty cheap yummy at that!
