This is a gallery of the original art I made for the breakthrough non-fiction comic series ACTION PHILOSOPHERS, which helped launch my comic book art career. Action Philosophers details the lives and thoughts of history's greatest thinkers in a hip and humorous way that proves that philosophy can be for everyone. I co-created the series with writer Fred Van Lente and we self-published if with the help of a grant from the Xeric Foundation, Action Philosophers has become our signature comic, blending low-brow humor with the comic medium's power to educate and entertain. The series ran for 9 issues and a deluxe collected edition was published by Dark Horse Comics in 2014. A new full color edition was released as 3 volumes from Rocketship Entertainment beginning in 2023. Action Philosophers was honored to be awarded as a "Great Graphic Novel For Teens" by the American Library Association in 2007.
