From Lambiek: Frank Ridgeway studied at the Art Students League in New York, as well as at the School of Visual Arts. He was storyman in the animation field, working for Famous Studios (1960's), Hanna-Barbera (1970's) and DiC Entertainment (1990's). He created the newspaper strip about multimillionaire 'Mr. Abernathy' with artist Ralston Jones in 1957. Ridgeway scripted and Jones drew the King Features syndicated strip until Jones' resignation in 1980. Ridgeway then continued to both write and draw the strip until his death in 1994. Ridgeway had also scripted the 'Lancelot' daily for artist Paul Coker Jr. in 1970-72, and he did some scripts for some 'Duck Tales' stories between 1988 and 1991. He was a teacher at the Famous Artists' School. Ralston "Bud" Jones was the cartoonist of the 'Mr Abernathy' Sunday page for King Features. Together with writer Frank Ridgeway, Jones drew the strip about a multimillionaire from 1958. Ralston Jones resigned from the strip in the late 1970s.
