Dopo gli studi artistici inizia a collaborare con Disney Italia e a illustrare libri per ragazzi. Insieme allo sceneggiatore Frédéric Brémaud realizza albi a fumetti per editori francesi: Soleil, Delcourt, Bamboo, Clair de Lune, Ankama, Dupuis e Glénat. La serie Love vale al disegnatore il Gran Guinigi, premio speciale della giuria a Lucca Comics & Games nel 2011 e la medaglia d’oro nella categoria miglior Graphic Novel per gli Indipendent Publisher Book Award 2016 a Chicago. Dal 2016 al 2022 riceve 7 nominations per gli Eisner Award di San Diego. Nel 2017 Lucca Comics & Games gli dedica un’ esposizione monografica a Palazzo Ducale. Nel 2019 riceve il Romics d’oro durante la 26^ edizione del Romics festival a Roma. Dal 2020 collabora con MoonActive in qualità di game artist. I suoi libri sono tradotti in tutto il mondo.
