Illyana 'Magik' Rasputin
Colossus' little sister got aged up into a teen witch so she could participate in the adventures of the New Mutants. Her wide-ranging powers and abuse-laden backstory quickly overshadowed the rest of the team, so Claremont de-powered and de-aged her for a while. But later writers loved her era as Magik, and when Chris Bachalo finally gave her a memorable costume and a Cloud Strife-derived oversized sword, her "bad girl mutant" place in modern X-lore was secured.
