geinz
Geinz is a Flemish cartoonist and comic writer from Izegem. Active online since 2006, he has a weekly cartoon on the news site Zita.be, and he has also worked for Black & White Company, Creatief schrijven, Go 4 Media, Intermobiel, Kartoenfabriek, Natuur en Milieu, Strip-Energie, Stripteasers, and the publishing houses Kippenvel, Pelckmans and Plantyn. He has published his work in a variety of print and online magazines, such as Clickburg, Cookies Comics, GRNVLD, Krant van West-Vlaanderen, Strike, Stripelmagazine, Stripster and Filmmagazine. Geinz has written gags and strips for artists like Lectrr ('Lars'), Daniel van den Broek ('Viktor & Frenky', 'Juttertje'), Poetzarelli ('Caztar'), Jean Deras ('De Rode Ruiter'), Joey Potargent ('Bieske'), Jean-Marc van Tol ('Kort en Triest'), Pieter Hogenbirk ('Jaap & Joop'), Kim Duchateau ('Esther Verkest') and Mark Retera ('Dirkjan'). Geinz self-published his first cartoon book, 'Humormels 1' in 2009; the second installment was published by COOLcomix in 2011. Bonte released two books of his absurd comic series 'Inspecteur Blomme' in 2010 and 2011 and with Jean Deras, he made two books of 'De Rode Ruiter' for 't Mannekesblad. He publishes his comic strip 'De Rosse Ridder' on Stripelmagazine since 2014. In 2011, Geinz paid graphic homage to Pom in the collective tribute album 'Op Het Spoor van Pom' (2011).
