Rediscovering Claudio Castellini’s Art – A Timeless Talent I first encountered Claudio Castellini’s work about 20 years ago at my friend and fellow collector Kirk Dilbeck’s house. I was immediately captivated by his artistry, but in the whirlwind of collecting over the past two decades, I never had the chance to follow up with him. Recently, I reconnected with Claudio online, and I’m thrilled to now call him a friend. He’s one of the kindest, most genuine people you could meet—and an absolute perfectionist when it comes to his craft. Yes, a commission from him may take time, but the wait is worth it: his pieces have such incredible depth and precision that they often end up as published covers (about 70% of the time, in my experience). While I’m not buying art as actively as I used to (today’s market demands a strategic approach!), I plan to add more of his pieces over time.
