One of the most internationally recognized Spanish comic artists, Gabriel H. Walta (Gabriel Hernández Walta) has won the Eisner Award and the Medal of Fine Arts from Granada. His bibliography includes titles such as Absolute Batman, Doctor Strange, Hellboy, Phantom Road, and the masterpiece The Vision, scripted by Tom King. Trained in Fine Arts and with an acclaimed career in illustration and painting, he made the leap to the American comic market after winning the Injuve award in 2002. He debuted as a professional comic book artist with IDW, working on series like Clive Barker’s The Thief of Always, The Veil, and The Suicide Forest, alongside El Torres. Shortly after, he contributed to works such as The Werewolf of Fever Swamp and several short stories for DC Comics and Marvel, where he gained unanimous recognition from both audiences and critics.
