Milton Caniff -Steve Canyon
Milton Arthur Paul Caniff--( 2/28/1907--5/3/1988 ) One of the grandmasters of comicstrip art, best known for his work on "Terry and the Pirates", & "Steve Canyon". During the war years of WWII he worked on a strip for service men_"Male Call", that featured a character named --"Miss Lace".Milton Caniff was also one of the founders of the "National Cartoonist Society", and served as it's President for the years 1948-49. A master craftsman with a BOLD, graphic use of black & white brushwork.
