Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi
The Tales of the Jedi series was one of the first Star Wars series published by Dark Horse in the early 90s. This was easily my favorite series as a kid. In that time, the only glimpse we had at Jedi was from the original trilogy and various references made through the then small supply of extended universe books. Then Tom Veitch's Tales of the Jedi came along and showed us Jedi acting as guardians of the galaxy fighting epic wars across systems. The book hit me in all the right places and finally gave me a clear picture that I had been imagining since watching the original movies as a wee one in the mid 80s. Now that I have a bit more money, I'm really happy to collect original pages and covers from my favorite childhood series. It doesn't get much better than this!
