BUSCEMA SAL

When I was younger, Sal was the artist i didn't want to see on the series i was reading.He was then the ultimate artist Marvel used everywhere on every title as lead artist or fill-ins one.The true "homme à tout faire" living in the shadows of his brother John whose style was much more bombastic.I think i really came to appreciate him as the fantastic storyteller that he is on Spectacular Spider-Man when JM Dematteis came aboard.They produced a great run of psychological oriented Spidey stories.And then Sienckiewicz inked Sal and it was a great nervous combination.In retrospect,I've come to appreciate him much more for the true talent he is.I think his style works best when inked by "heavy inkers" like Palmer.That's why I still love his Rom run as he was inked by a sucession of great inkers (Russel,Akin & Garvey,...).
