HOFFMAN MIKE

I must admit I've been sceptic for a very long time regarding Mike Hoffman's work as I considered him to be a blatant knockoff of Frazetta and Ken Kelly (I like both and recognize their huge talent but they're not my favorite ever). I thought that he'd produced very nice pieces here and there but his too apparent influence prevented me from enjoying his art without any afterthought.But I have to admit that changed recently with him entering what he himself proclamed with a lot of humility "Phase 2".The art he produced under that banner has been spectacular and different from his previous ones allowing him to reach more originality in his work.To me he finally found his voice :)
