Cameron, Lou "The Count of Monte Cristo" (CI)
2 consecutive pages from Lou Cameron“s last assignment for Classics Illustrated, the second version of "The Count of Monte Cristo", No. 3 ( Gilberton, November 1956 ). Lou Cameron ( b. 1924 ) is probably best known for his version of H. G. Wells“s "The War of the Worlds", for which he painted the cover as well. Other masterful adaptions were "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", "The Time Machine" and "The Bottle Imp".
