Back in 1990 I was just a 15-year-old Italian boy who didn't know much of American comics. I bought a Dick Tracy comic because of Warren Beatty's movie. And I found the drawings by Kyle Baker strange ad sketchy, but in some ways fascinating. That same year Mr. Baker published the seminal (and still wonderful) graphic novel "Why I hate Saturn", but this I would have discovered only many years later. Which made me think again of that boy I was.
