Milo Manara

There are only a handful of names in the comicart field that require no futher description other than their name. Manara is one. His beautiful, sexual and sultry women are instantly recognizable. I remember having discovered Manara's work in my teens in Heavy Metal and ever since then, I don't think there is an artist better at drawing the female form. With Manara being such a hero of mine in comic art, I made a commitment to meeting him and in January 2019 a few days prior to Angouleme I went to Vernona to spend part of the day with him including a lunch and getting a small dedication and some pages signed. Truly a once in a lifetime encounter with one of the undisputed masters of the genre.
