Finlay, Virgil
Although Finlay did not really work in comics and sequential art, his art is mesmerizing and speaks volumes! There has not been any artist with a tool set of techniques quite like him. His other-worldly talent yielded fantastic illustrations. He utilized detailed precision, intricacy and graceful composition to create the wildest and most imaginative imagery and subject material. Such a dichotomy! I am always amazed by his work.
