Original Sketchbook
Devon Sanders, manager of the local comic shop I frequented in the early 2000s, got me hooked on sketchbooks and original comic art. He would occasionally show the latest sketch in his book to customers, inspiring me to start one for San Diego Comicon 2004. The book runs from that year to 2017 plus has two sketches done in 2024. The gallery is organized by the order they appear in the book. That order sometimes isn't chronological because I would forget to bookmark where the sketch should go. On other occasions an artist would forget, skipping ahead in the book. I asked some artists to use skipped pages to help complete the book. Several sketches are by the artist who created the character such as Captain America by Joe Simon and Wildcat and Dondi by Irwin Hasen. Enjoy!
