Eerie Publications was definitely the bottom rung of the latter in monster magazine publishing. I may have read one or two in the 1970's---but never bought a single book off the stands. I saved my money for the Warrens, Skywalds and Marvels. Yet, years later, their gory, colorful (sometimes patchwork) covers do have their place in pop culture in that genre.
