Vampirella #26 “Moonspawn” Page 1 from by Maroto Owner: Steve R Comment posted on 6/8/2025 I was wondering who bought this! I was watching this splash for a while---and saw it sell twice. Obviously never pulled the trigger. I have 7 pages from this story and was attempting to try to put the whole thing together---but gave up! Too difficult in today's collecting world---either way, a nice example of Maroto's work. Congrats! |

Daredevil Comics #6 (Lev Gleason Dec. 1941) - Charles Biro - hand colored by Biro as a gift to Jerry Robinson Owner: Michael One Minute Later Comment posted on 5/18/2025 This is amazing! The only other piece I've ever seen close to this is a beautiful splash from Silver Streak 10 by Jack Cole. But this is a cover---are you kidding me! Golden Age Daredevil is my hand-off favorite comic character. It was my goal to get the best copies of Silver Streak Comics which introduced the character in issue 6. I also have an impressive run of the original DD series, including a copy of this book (which is hard enough to get). Huge congrats on this artwork. Definitely one of my favorites on all of CAF! |

I'll bet this one is very impressive in person. I can see so much more from your pic than the published cover. You have an awesome collection, the best. How is this one in person? ![]() Amazing---most covers are nicer in person than how they printed up. This is a watercolor. It's a bit subdued compared to how it printed up. But it's not faded at all. Warren definitely brightened up many covers when he was publishing them. Yet, regardless, side by side, the original has much more to it that printing, especially back then, couldn't replicate |

Gonzalo Mayo - El Cid & The Vision - Eerie #66 Page #1 Owner: Tristram Portal Comment posted on 3/26/2024 I love Mayo's work. His El Cid may be his crown jewel. Manuel Sanjulian - Eerie #66 Cover - El Cid - Warren Owner: Tristram Portal Comment posted on 3/26/2024 AMAZING! One of the four original gallery paintings done by Sanjulian (the others being the Cobra Queen, Queen of Hearts, and the Ghoul Queen). These were done years ago before numerous recreations were done of many of his works. Many are great...some are good---the original four galleries were, by far, the best! Congrats on this beauty! |

I really like the revisited version more. This looks stunning! ![]() I agree--I held the original in my hands before it sold and ended in Heritage. It was amazing---so sharp and detailed. But this revisit is multi-layered and, in person, is more breath-taking than even I thought it would be. I honestly think this is Sanjulian's prime painting in his golden years of his painting life--hell---it's even better than many of his earlier paintings, in my opinion-- |

Vampirella #50 Owner: Ingrid Neilson Comment posted on 10/5/2023 Amazing...amazing...amazing! Like you, I've searched high and low for this original cover. I had a collector/dealer friend who was trying to put together the entire set of interior stories from this issue. He eventually backed off, and sold me the two (of the five) full stories he had. Now I'm trying to take up the task! Your recreation is first rate. I more than love it! |

Vampirella #36 Owner: Ingrid Neilson Comment posted on 10/1/2023 Beautiful recreation! You learn something new every day---I did not realize that Sanjulian slightly changed versions of this painting to distinguish from the original. Believe it or not, this is probably the painting that Sanjulian recreated the most. I know I have seen four versions. One in particular is gallery sized (as he did with three other Warren masterpieces). Some recreations, like yours, are spot on. One of the others was good; but not up to the standards of the others. I'm going to try and search out the others to see if he made any noticeable changes as he did with yours. I did see the version with the ornate Vampirella painted on the sides---that was a real nice one as well-- |
