Description

"Base Tranquility" - the last issue in "Church & State II." The Judge tells Cerebus of the future, of things like NASA. The Big Strange White Glowing Thing comes to take Cerebus away, but not before the Judge tells Cerebus his gold was taken by Cirin and someday Cerebus will die alone, unmourned, and unloved. Cerebus is dropped off in front of the hotel in Iest, which is in ruins. A set of differently cropped copies of this image was used over two pages. This full image does not appear, but it is nonetheless spectacular. A 100% Gerhard page. And as Ger put it to me: "Yes, that was all me� And those pages? Me, a photocopier... and a toothbrush."
