Description

Recreated from a xerox of the pencil art, lightboxed & inked by Angel Gabriele. The published page was inked by Syd Shores, in a different style, and had lettering as it was the opening page to the story...here it stands on it's own as a beautiful action illustration.This is a re-inked recreation of a 1968 Kirby Cap page , with superior linework and NO White-out, the digital image does NOT do this original justice. Illustration is suitable for framing! ( photo is shot at slight up angle to avoid glare.) At the request of longtime Kirby family friend David Schwartz, and to avoid questionable sales by less than reputable dealers, all Angel's Jack Kirby recreation work states in archival ink, on the back, that they are a recreation by Angel, and are signed on the front after Kirby's name. These originals are done as inking sample and from Angel's portfolio.
