Love it! Glad it's still intact. Too much post-production editing of Power's originals IMO, but I'm sure the artist had his reasons ![]() Indeed, Powers was notorious for cutting up his illustration work to be used as collage elements in other work. He would also cut the tops off of certain illustrations he thought had value but needed improved composition for display (since a lot of cover illustrations have "blank spots" on the upper third to allow for titles). |

I forgot to add I'll take the lady in the front. Shes got a knowing look. ![]() Ha! I had to read the story to find out exactly what is going on here -- turns out the guy signed up for an eight year space mission in a small scout ship for two. The only way to psychologically survive is to be paired with the PERFECT mate. The machine is monitoring his response to a plethora of lovely android candidates. The goal is 100% compatibility. The blonde in white is the perfect match (as indicated by the "silhouette beam" created by his subconscious mind). The twist is the blonde is actually a REAL woman who sneaks into the android line-up to prove to the guy (who she knows) that they are a perfect match and should get married! |
