Ah, sorry Chris! Yeah, I had my eye on this one for a bit. Very fortunate to have been quick enough. You've got quite the Thing collection. Very impressive
Thanks, Chris! A friend of mine got SUPER LUCKY, and managed 2 pieces with the recent sale (Dick Tracy, and Iron Man). He snagged the Iron Man for me. So I'll have another to add, soon. The Daredevil is really good. That was the first piece I was able to grab from Samnee. Now, if I could just track down that DD Artist's Edition for a reasonable price!
Honestly, I'd buy just about anything from Samnee. He's flat out incredible. From his style, simplicity, storytelling, and speed (alliteration not intended). He has every base covered. Just one of those rare, generational artists. We're lucky to be around to witness it
There were so many good ones, but I had my eye on this one since he originally posted it. It's like getting a winning lottery ticket, scoring one of these drawings
Thank you! I completely agree. It's been done by so many artists over the years and Tom really nailed this one
When I bought this, there were many pages, this size, available. Most were full of doodles. But this was one of the only pieces that were signed. That's what solidified my choice
I wasn't aware he hadn't sold any yet. But now that I think about it, I don't recall seeing anyone post them. Yeah, I'd love to have a few pages from that run. He's just so good, and it seems effortless (although I know it's not).
Great piece, Justin! I've loved Dave's work for years. You're acquiring quite the collection
Thanks! I’ve known Sean for a long time, and I’m very lucky to have him as a friend.
Sadly, I haven't read the series. I've always loved Dave's covers. His sense of design is impeccable. Also, I have a love for lettering in original art.
Hey Brian! Yeah, when I saw this piece at Heroes con I grabbed it immediately. And I think I got it on the cheap.
I've known Sean for a long time now, and we've been friends for years. Luckily I was able to get a few pieces from him early on. This wasn't a commission, but an illustration that he had done to keep busy. Sean's main reason for not doing commissions stems from not wanting to have his head down and buried in work at conventions. He'd rather be free to chat with fans and meet people.
