He is definitely a student of the game.  I know he has done some published work and I try to get him to do commissions for people.  I like the Weird Science cover he did for me.  I might ask him for a horror cover next.

One of the things that I am kind of dismayed at is that at some point someone "mounted" each page on the cardboard backer that is resides on.  It seems to be basic elmers glue but I am leery of trying to separate the page from the cardboard so it does not damage each page.   

To me the value is the historical nature of each of these.  Brown University holds some of his work in their collection from what I saw after seeking out information about him.    What really surprises me is that a decent amount of his work survived.  

As someone stated on the CGC Boards, comments from Marcus Wai are always appreciated and welcomed.  It's like you know you've 'made it' when you get a Marcus comment.  Thanks for this and all of the others !

I was uploading pieces of my own when I noticed this.  First, I have to say, what an interesting and original focus.  I really like a lot of these with this one immediately grabbing my attention.  Cool idea and I look forward to seeing what else you pick up.

His wife and he were genuinely nice and gracious people.  I think they were taken aback by how many people were lined up to get sketches and meet him at a comic book convention.    Anyone who left that table walked away with a smile.  You are right, the impact that these guys had on our childhood and overall education is immeasurable. 

I absolutely agree with your reasons for picking up this page.  I have always thought the same way that the characters sometimes outshine the artist.  

When I was looking for a Superman page, I went looking for something similar.  When people come over this is hanging up.  No one outside of comic collectors know who Jack Kirby is from Todd McFarlane.  They do know an iconic Superman page when they see one though.  I picked this up for the same reason... up up and away.

Cool to see someone with a similar mindset in collecting these types of pages.
