Human Torch vs. Sub-Mariner battles have been a staple of the Marvel Universe since well before it was the Marvel Univese, and this page is a one of the greats. The Fantastic Four had already been cemented as one of the greatest, and most significant superhero comics ever, and this scene does nothing to hurt and plenty to help that stature. Bravo, Nick! Another wonderful page!

What a great, powerful cover image, Nick! The Absorbing Man has to be one of the most successful oddball villains ever, and he rarely (if ever) seemed to posses more intimidating power than he did in this piece. Fantastic vintage Thor, hammer ready to swing, kinetic energy ready to burst forth. Tremendous piece and a wonderful addition to your collection.

What a stunning cover! This superb example of Sal Buscema pencils and Frank Giacoia inks crackles with the kinetic energy of not only the Sub-Mariner's fury, but also of Sunfire, an excellent, frequently overlooked member of Marvel's mutant family.

As someone who knows how long you've been hunting for this one, my friend, I am so happy that is has a long-term home with someone who won't flip it for a fast buck.

Bravo, Nick!

That's a cool DD. You'll be hooked on this art stuff. Keep em coming.

Jason - My collection is small, but it has some very cool stuff in it. With just a few exceptions, almost all the pieces are something to which I have a personal connection of some sort. I've been fortunate to know so many talented folks.

Jeff, welcome to CAF!; a great panel page from the greatest storyline in comics in the past 25 years!; in addition, it is drawn and inked by Steve Epting, the greatest draftsman in comics since "Big John"! Nobody draws the Red Skull like Steve!

Thanks, Nick. I've been a Steve Epting fan since he was doing the Judah Macabee back-ups in Nexus. No kidding!

what a beautiful piece of art

Dean - Thanks so much. I've been a big fan of Amanda's for a long time -- I conducted what was probably her first interview -- and was thrilled to hire her to do the Supergirl/Batgirl cover for The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #41. And she and Jimmy are great folks on top of that.
