what an incredible page.
Thanks for the comment and the other likes. I think it works out best to just throw out the theme and let the artists pick what they want - provided they like the overall theme. It's worked out great over the years. Cheers!
I'll have to look up 14 to jog my memory, but clearly you have great taste!!
Wow. What a great run of pages! Really enjoy Ziritt and his quirky/expressive style. Met him in Charlotte at Heroes this year and actually had a late night dinner with him and Fabian; they were a ton of fun to hang out with - great dudes. I love his style and extremely jealous of this run you have of his. Great job!
George - if you're a regular at Heroes we should meet up and chat comic art, etc. There's no way to 'like' peoples comments, but i've noticed you comment a fair amount. It's appreciated!
He's going to go bananas just like how Scalera has. Had to get on this one early - even before E.S. signed him.
He's a great guy, and really knocked it out of the park on this one. He designed it like an old-school cover, and then threw the masthead logo on there, and comped up a full comic for me AND colored it. He's a great guy and really over delivered on this one for sure.
Jason, I totally agree. Could not believe the bidding on this piece. Had a great conversation with Dave after the auction about it because he seemed a little bummed - but I assured him it went to a great home. Your Deadman piece was such a bargain too. Great minds think alike on these...
Chatting with Mike and John both really made this piece come a live. Seeing their admiration for their old art was a great experience.
Jason - I did pick this up at Heroes. Somehow we never got a chance to see what each other picked up. I gave him my "spidey villain theme" but he really wanted to do black costume spidey, so I told him to go nuts with it, and he sure did. It's a great piece.
Michael B - Thanks a ton for the info. I'll update the listing accordingly. Much appreciated!
