That played a big part on character choice, along with the fact that the character is connected to all of Miller's major Marvel work (son of Shingen, half brother of Mariko, first appearance was in Daredevil, he was once killed by Elektra, the hand tried to recruit him as their new leader, etc). And yes I obviously put way to much thought into my commissions sometimes lol

I'm not sure as it isn't dated. I picked this up from his art rep. I believe he retired from doing appearances in 2016 and one or two of the other pieces were dated 2016 but I'm not sure if thses were all done at that time or if he is still occasionally doing new pieces
