I too recall the Schanes & Schanes ad of the forthcoming Blackmark portfolio that never happened. Oddly, when I had the time to ask Gil Kane about it ('94 or '95 during our collaboration on a career retrospective for the Art Show at the SDCCI) he said he only vaguely recalled it.
Any chance of seeing it more clearly? This is a rare gem and the printed image from the book suffer from poor reproduction.
