WOW! What an amzing Batman cover by David Finch! I knew that David had been experimenting with painting but I didn't realize he was actually doing that for published covers! This is absolutely astonishingly good. The intensity that David always was able to achieve in pen and ink has always impressed me, but now he's achieving another level of intenisity with his paints! This one is jaw-droppingly good! Batman looks so strong and powerful here, and Robin looks great as well. Plus, you've got that whole painted background of Gotham City! It appears David Finch is now playing on God Level! Yea I agree his pen and inks blew me away but to change to painting and be this amazing at it is crazy to me. Top 2 favorite penciler to me and a top 2 or 3 painter to me! |

Huge congrats! If I had the disposable income I'd have snapped this up too! Thanks! Yea I was just about to board a plane back from a large card show and saw it pop up the second the email was sent out as they were calling group 1 lol. I was like crap that's a lot of money but I gotta decide quick. Thought about it for 2 minutes and said screw it and claimed it as I knew I'd never forgive myself if someone else got it. Felt better when someone else immediately tried to get it from me for the same price haha |
