This reminds me of the film What Dreams May Come. Beautiful piece!
I also have some of Andersons art in my collection and everything youve said about him is spot on. Great artist and a very kind person. Congrats on the cover recreation!
Such a great splash! I also enjoyed Grant Morrisons Batman. Congratulations!
A great page and a wonderful gift. Congrats!
Congratulations on your first piece of published art! Love the first shot of him walking in and the THOOM of his steps. I recently purchased my first piece featuring the Rhino. It looks like you already have a great start on a character-focused collection. :)
This cover is amazing. Perfect use of negative space. Took me a minute to see the broken string of pearls. Absolutely beautiful piece. Congrats!
It figures that a Micronauts cover would be HUGE. Congratulations! Great piece.
I love pages where the letters are used as panels. Very cool, congrats!
Nice. Ive thought about grabbing a page from this sequence. Love Perkins art!
Recently picked up my first Heathcliff Sunday strip and its also from 1976. Love that 5th panel. Congrats!
Im a big fan of Mike Perkins art. Lots of great expressions in this one. Nice page!
Wow! Great piece. I love the color palette.
Not familiar with this artist but I really like this page! The art has a whimsical tone I enjoy.
I tossed a bid or two on this one. Glad it went to someone on CAF. Congrats!
Not a book I read either but I immediately recognized the cover. Congratulations! It's a wonderful painting.
Love the panel layout. Awesome page. Congrats!
Masterpiece is the word. Absolutely incredible piece. Congrats!
I haven't read it and I'm not certain... but I'd be surprised. I think this was done a while ago. (Still trying to find out exactly when.)
Nice Felix page. Very cut last panel. Congrats!
Great piece. Really impressive for something out of a coloring book.
I saw this when it was up for sale and loved it as well (I wasn't a bidder though). Congrats! It's a wonderful piece.
This was an interesting story and these are two great pages from it. Congrats!
Can't say I've ever heard of this, but the artwork has a very cool vibe. I like it!
Very cool. Creepy, moody art with good lighting is always going to get a like from me. Congrats!
Great piece! Probably one of the best I've seen from Manix (but I love Swamp Thing, so I'm biased). Congrats!
I'm a big fan of monsters, which usually (but not always) means Horror. :) I like super heroes as much as the next OA collector, but I'm even more drawn to the dark/creepy stuff.
Hulk doing what Hulk does best, smash! Very nice DPS.
I also grabbed a page from this! Perkins' art is fantastic in general, but I especially love his attention to facial expressions in this book.
I saw! First page I've had featured anywhere on CAF as far as I'm aware. :)
Pretty much, yeah. :) Not many pages left for sale, but you can see all of them here: https://comicbookartgallery.com/collections/poison-ivy-swamp-thing-feral-trees
Very cool MMH title splash. I like how the drawing/inking is a bit "looser", if that makes sense. Very 90s (in a good way). Congrats!
I've seen some pages from King. Cryptid floating around but have never read it. This is my favorite of the ones I've seen. "BeheMoth" has a very cool vibe... and I'm a sucker for monsters. Congrats!
Outside my price range, but an amazing piece!
Amazing painting! Such a cool piece. Congrats!
So it is! A pair of characters introduced in the early 90s, which makes sense. Thanks!
Unfortunately the colorist made Azrael look like an alien and I'm not certain which hero is supposed to be in the bottom right of the second panel (unless it's Martian Manhunter with equally strange color choices). I also think the eye color in Grend'll's helmet is supposed to be something that makes them look more like lenses/eye covering... not green like his skin. Several odd color choices on this page.
I've read this book so many times and I didn't even think that could be Azrael until I saw the original.
Oh, absolutely. I didn't mean to imply that you'd want to sell/trade it anytime soon (or ever, perhaps).
More than anything, I'm just glad when art I love ends up on CAF. I understand why some collectors keep their collections to themselves... but it makes me sad when a really nice piece vanishes from view.
Congrats again! Enjoy it... and thanks again for posting it!
I inquired about this same piece before it showed as "On Hold" on Albert's website but you beat me to it. Very happy it went to another CAF member. It's a killer cover and I really enjoyed the series. Congratulations! (If the time ever comes that you want to sell/trade it, please keep me in mind!)
Hard to beat a Jim Lee page featuring both Batman and Superman. Congrats!
Awesome DPS and a great part of the story. Congrats!
