I'm amazed nobody has commented on this yet, but I'm sad to say this is not authentic. It's not even an attempted forgery of an authentic storyboard or done in the style from the Tracey Ullman shorts. I really hope you didn't invest too much into this, I believe a handful of these were sold on eBay years ago. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.

Who sold it to you as such? Hopefully, you didn't pay over $100 for this. You can google 'The Simpsons creative capers' to see a few similar examples of drawings that were done by the same company specifically for Simpsons merchandise. I have a picture of this exact design but a more refined version, yours is the earliest concept as noted by number one. Blue pencil means it's a preliminary drawing. Fantastic piece but this isn't from the opening title sequence. It's a preliminary sketch by Creative Capers for some of their merchandise. Very cool regardless!

I have two other pitch boards I haven't posted that were for the entrance you can actually see featured on the Alien Anthology Blu-Ray edition that featured some of the artwork from ALIENS 3-D.
