yeah, it was one of the flashback ones where bruce sees the golden age Green Lantern.  loved it.  hate that i missed it.

and overall i'm not a fan of the overly cross hatching that was going on in the mid 90's but this page is more about good linework.  the cross hatching on deathblow's face was perfect IMO.

So i brought it up to him a few years ago and he said after having 2 sons he's seen way worse and would totally do it - if i rolled a snake eyes.

his deal was he'd do a sketch but only if you rolled a snake eyes.

i love this piece.  i mentioned it to Dave when he worked on my luchadore sketchbook and so he used it as a springboard for his sketch in my book.  check it out if you can.  was telling the story about seeing this elektra to someone so i decided to see if it was CAF and here it is!  awesome piece i've been thinking about for over 10 years now!

funny thing about Darwyn, he held this book.  he took out his art supplies and opened to a blank page......... then a crowd formed and others started taking out their sketchbooks.  Darwyn saw what was happening, closed the book, and handed it back to me.  i really wanted hi to do a martian manhunter or a superman in here for me.

Great page!!  And kudos to mick gray!!  Wow!   I always thought Lee inked himself.  I'd hate to have to try to go over Lee's pencils.   

When i asked Robyn to sell me this page she said no one else had asked for it yet.  By the time i picked it up she said a lot of folks emailed asking for that page.  I am lucky i live in houston and probably got the issue a day before most other subscribers.  Otherwise i may have missed out on it
