Ya done good here man, real good. That opening homage panel is just so damn impactful, visually and right in the nostalgic feels. Congrats!
We always rave about Manix's colors, so I love it when he delivers pieces with a limited pallette and its still a piece you could stare at forever and not tire of its brilliance! Congrats Lance!
Congrats on a successful drop, really love this cover!!
Just a friendly heads up, the trade just came out this week!
Great cover to kick off such a fantastic story arc!!
This cover is everything I'd want it to be! Tom can do and say so much when it comes to body language!
John is the man!! Congrats for adding this one to the collection!
Agreed, the background adds a nice depth that allows the figure to pop. That's a good looking Slim!
Ahh fantastic! I was talking with the Sam & Zack at their booth and they said they had sold some from the story!! That's great! Congrats!! I was flipping through at the others and was super tempted. Fantastic stuff!
Love it & well said...all about the people. The art was 100% secondary for me this year!
Thanks so much! Yeah, it was one that kind of flew under the radar a bit with all of the other Godzilla projects that have been hitting store shelves. It's really a charming little love note to Boston if you get a chance to check out the story!
Thanks man, agreed! It's definitely one I still enjoy looking at, but at this point of the collection pairing down/refocus it's a bit of an outlier.
Aww heck yeah! What a great one to go after! Can't beat a page with the Moon on it! I also really love the design of the Jebediah Swano character so it's great to have him on here too! Congrats again buddy!!
Ahh I see what you did there!
Maybe editorial changed it!
One of the (if not THE) best pairings in the Energon Universe!
Tom just keeps getting better and better and I'm here for it!
Thanks, I always love reading a good write up too, just trying to do my part!!
My thoughts exactly!
I feel like so many wonderful things have been said about this that anything I add will feel redundant soI will fall back on a tried and true comment This art, is good art. Congrats again!!
Mission Accomplished! Congrats on another example from this amazing series!
I need to get up to speed on the Geiger ongoing, loved the initial mini & now that Simon is in the picture...need to get caught up! Excellent pick up my friend!
Very true! Great moment indeed! I'll eventually be posting another page I have from this issue that is actually Gunslinger Spawn but he looks like Spawn. Really fun issue!
Thanks Kavi! Yeah man, Booth's art on a Spawn book. Great artist & subject matter pairing to recapture that 90's Image vibe on a modern book!
There were a few key images like this throughout (DPS of Gunslinger Spawn with wings, DPS of him in his new horse being two others), and the series as a whole felt like its sole reason for being was to get to the next "something cool" to see. It's still incredibly fun to flip through each of the issues for the art alone, but this issue stands out every time I revisit it.
People say I'm tough to buy for, I don't agree, I'm able to buy the perfect gifts for myself all the time! Congrats to knowing yourself and getting yourself such a wonderful gift!
Yes!! Love this one! Tash is quite the interesting character and I love that we see what he has gone through to get to this point in the story! Huge Congrats, a page that they both worked on is quite special!
Love how expressive Panel 4 is (obviously). However, it did take me awhile to realize Superboy was in fact NOT on this page! No worries, I still quite enjoy it!!
Holy schnikes, this is a fantastic page!! That issue is a special one and this page is incredibly memorable for anyone reading the series! Santa Bill for the win here for sure! Huge congrats my friend!
Thanks so much! The dad rage is all too real!
Yeah, so its a tricky one when it comes to crediting options here. That top left panel is ALL DWJ with Tash and his daugther. The rest of the page is ALL Riley.
Now, as far as page layout I am assuming it was Riley first on these collaboration pages and then sent to Dan for him to draw his portion of the page (I feel like I head that in an interview somewhere, and that would make sense for Dan to then have all the completed pages including the ones that he drew solo). So its certainly possible Dan had to do some touch up work around Riley's lines here if there happend to be some overlapping, but I honestly can't tell.
Fantastic Joevember pick up!! You know I love this one!!
Haha Seasons Beefings to you too!! That's so much!
Thanks so much! Story context aside, a man's battle with an inanimate object and the rage that can come from that is very relatable! Haha
...hmm, Tired Dads you say? I think you're onto something!!
Nitro has nothing on that car seat!
Most importantly, Duncan didn't carry the typical superhero tax! Probably the only way I'm able to buy a DWJ splash page in 2025!
The battle we never knew comics needed! Haha Thanks Kavi!!
This was definitely one of those unexpected epic moments when I turned that page. I appreciate your kind words, it was truly at the top of my wishlist to own. It just perfectly captures dad rage when it comes to battling an inanimate object!
