Thanks Mike! I see you have the page with the adult version. Such an awesome piece. Congrats!
Thanks, Jason! And I completely agree that this page may work better as a silent page. Everything that needs to be said is on this inked page (imho).
Thanks James! I see you got yourself a pretty awesome page from this sequence as well. Grats on that! Kitty phasing the Breakworld Bullet is peak comic books (imho).
Thanks James! I love these color guides. Can't believe they still go for so cheap.
Yeah, this is my second piece of his and I love them both. It's great when a book has solid storytelling, or amazing art, but it's magic when you can have both.
Thanks! And yeah, Tomasi writes a great Damian.
Thank you and I agree completely. His work is of high quality. I own a few of his pages, and it's hard to find a favorite.
They were not cheap, but there was no way I was passing on oversized LW&C. And you weren't kidding that these have no equal. They're worth every penny imho. Seriously, thank you again!
I just updated the photo of my collection with the Edition Prestige versions. Thank you again for the lead on these books. They look amazing!
100%. I'm happy to finally pick up something from Maleev, but the historic aspect of this makes me so happy. Thanks Marcus!
Absolutely! The writing is great, but the pencil work and inking on this piece are top notch.
Agree completely. Nguyen just gets better and better. I'll pull anything writen by Lemire, but Dustin's work on this, and Descender, took these books to another level. Such an amazing talent.
This is such a pro level comment I can't thank you enough. Absolutely great info. I updated the penciler and comment to reflect the new info you added. I really appreciate all of your help with this, and again, thank you so much! You're amazing!
Yeah, Bill was great during this whole process.
And I think I'm a day late, but happy birthday! You make this a better site. Thanks!
You're amazing with that edition prestige lead. Thank you!
Right on, and I agree completely. Such an amazing book. I picked this up after his passing, and the sale went to the Alanguilan Estate.
No idea why I didn't see this comment when you posted, but thanks! And I completely agree. Such a great moment.
Thanks so much! Super jealous of all those Lantern pages you've got. Great collection!
Thanks, and I agree. Leinil Yu always kills it.
For sure. Death confused, and all by herself, and the slow introduction of Thanos and his, "welcome to your prison." It's solid storytelling.
Absolutely. If someone described this issue to me, I'm not sure I'd be interested, but it's so good.
You're page is dope too. Grats!
It was such a wild ride. Norman took us on a rollercoaster, and all we could do was hold on. IMHO this was a great finale to his " Dark Reign."
Thanks! Yeah, there's a log going in this page, but it feels juuuust right. Coipel kills it.
Yeah, Hickman weaves quite the story. It's amazing how he goes back to old elements without feeling forced.
Yeah, Doug's work is incredible. Also I feel like he gets to work with some of the best inkers. It's always great work.
I really appreciate the added history. Thank you so much for your comment! I'm enjoying the crap out of it. Thanks again!
100% agree. Talent has his own thing going, and it looks great. And yeah, you have some dope Turner pieces. Grats!
Thanks! I'm just happy it was still available when I got the cash together. Really love this piece.
For sure. This story was so good. Hickman just kills it. And thanks!
Yeah, a dps is like 22"x17", but this feels massive. It's already huge, but it still can't be contained in the space it was given. It's a trip.
Yeah, it's a killer splash. Thanks so much!
Thanks! And yeah, it's crazy we can own history like this. Some pieces are going for crazy amounts, but there's still a lot of great works for reasonable prices out there. Blows my mind at times.
He's my favorite of OG Image. I've been trying to get a decent piece of his forever. My first comics ever were Wolverine 56 and 57, so I dream of owning a page from one of those issues, but they're so pricey. So yeah, I'm so happy to finally own a piece from him!
Thanks! And yeah, it's just beautiful work.
Right?! Coming from no knowledge, I'm already into the book. The ship in the top panel, the crazy cartoonish alien looking dudes, boarding the ship to leave? and the humor in the last panel. I couldn't help but get excited about this book. Hope it's good. lol
And thanks!
Exactly. Finch will always kill it, but the writing is on another level here. A great pairing of art and writing.
That's it. You nailed it. I kept using words like, "feels raw," but that wasn't quite right. The "energy" is exactly what I was drawn to. Panel by panel, I loved the flow of the energy. End result is Roy takes off like a, "shooting star." Thanks!
Thanks so much! Really happy with this one. Not a lot of action, but a great key moment.
Haha. Yeah, you get it. I hadn't even thought about Hydra detention. LOL. That's awesome!
Right?! As much as they suck, they look like they're doing alright for themselves. And love that little Hive shirt too.
Thanks! You have some killer pieces as well. Those cels you have are awesome.
For real. Being able to pick up the pencils and inks at the same time was one of the reasons I wanted this. So awesome to see them side by side. Just some great looking work.
That House of M prelim is one of my favorites, but this piece right here is my absolute favorite. The only thing wrong with Michael Turner's art is that there isn't more of it.
Thanks so much! I like prelims in general, but this is one of my favorite pieces in my entire collection. I'd love to get it framed up. Not sure what the deal is, but there don't seem to be a lot of prelim fans out there. Prelims are like the origin/first appearance of an idea. Details are great to look at, and I enjoy them, but there's nothing like the raw creation you get in a quality prelim.
