Hi Marcus. Great painting, isn't it. Rick Melton captured the crazed grin of Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) to a tee. I love Stephen King's , The Shining , and lept at the chance to buy this.

Hi Marcus. Always wanted a Spike Milligan autograph, so this was an added bonus with the art. If you've ever seen any TV series or films he appeared in would know his comedy. Mad as a March hare lol.  He had a cameo in the classic Monty Python's 1979  Life of Brian too, and if you've  ever watched  the much underrated 1973 comedy Ghost of the Noonday Sun starring Peter Seller as Irish pirate Dick Scratcher, he had a part in that also. The fight scene on the beach with Seller's towards the end with the cannonballs lol. 🤣

Hi Marcus. Yeah, very funny page from Lew Stringer.  Poor old Tom. A bit unwise to have a belly fully of fries, then go and have a swim. It was an accident waiting to happen. And talking about accidents. I too had a similar experience when I was a kid. I spent more time underwater than on the surface for a reason. One day I thought I was in the Canadian Rockies having seen a mammoth-size log float by. You can say there was method in my madness. And why I never opened my mouth when swimming. 🤮

Hi Marcus. Yes, you could say that. Her name precedes her. A cooper makes barrells for wine & spirits. A millar processes grain into flour.  Perhaps she should be renamed Pothole Kate instead? Although that does imply some excessive use of fruity tobacco. I dunno though? 🤔

Hi Marcus. Firstly, Happy Christmas. To answer your question. Not sure? It might be in the comic somewhere? Haven't really checked.  Anyway, since we last chatted have bought quite a few pages from Lew Stringer yet to upload. This page is a hoot though. Who doesn't like a puzzle. All you need is a pen (or pencil) , a steady hand,  and with a little determination will succeed where others fail. Or you can cheat, what the hell! 😋

Hi Marcus. Love this page. Yeah, Tom's a babe magnet. Who can resist his charm let alone bag of chips. Sure the girl's got a face that could kill a crow but I won't hold that against her. Poor cow.

Hi again Marcus. Yeah, cool page isn't it. At a glance you'd never have guessed it was connected to Red Dwarf. Although the dialogue is sparse the visuals are a treat. 😎

You know what, I thought I'd never see the day when the 1st Doctor had a Saturday job as a milkman delivering semi-skimmed, unsalted butter, eggs and a raspberry yogurt. The 4th Doctor play boardgames with the Daleks including strip Yahtzee with Davros. And see Adric be more adventurous than the 5th Doctor who prefers to stay home to do household chores in his Tardis which includes sorting out his loose knob instead of traversing the universe? 🤔

Hi Marcus. Yes, indeedy so. And nothing strikes fear into ones soul than a comic that features Monsters, Robots, Mutants, and yes, T T T.... Trousers. Yikes!! See, I have a phobia of bell-bottoms. I suppose it's hereditary. It's in my jeans.

Hi Marcus. Another fangtastic triumph by Lew Stringer. Novel idea to see a Vampire with an upset tummy. That's what happens when you gorge yourself at an all-you-can-suck buffet. 🦇🩸

HI Marcus. Yes, very reminiscent of Davinci and his contraptions. A reader of classical literature me thinks. Nice too of the Vampire Brats to help the aged attain flight. That's all we need. Senior citizens affecting the main flight paths of Airports. I know recently the US Government released video of UFOs , now called, UAPs. I now know what they are. Unidentified Anomalous Pensioners. Mystery solved. 🛸

Hi Marcus. Yeah, a pink onesie isn't a good look for Tom unless he wants to go to a fancy dress party as a blancmange. Love the strip Lew Stringer did though. Very enjoyable. I have watched US wrestling in my time but my era was 1970s British wrestling. I can remember as a child seeing 6ft 11 Giant Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki, and the popular Big Daddy. And no it wasn't Donald Trump in sweaty orange spandex. Just tasted some sick there with that mental image. 🤢

Hi Marcus. To answer your question. Sure did. As a child was forever up a tree picking conkers ready for arm to arm conflict in school the next day. Hence why I bought the page. It's a subject close to my heart that stirs up good memories. See, to gain an advantage over my opponents used to stick my nuts in the oven to firm them up. Some like the smell of oil burning. I like chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack frost nibbling at my nose. The horse-chestnut is the modern day medieval warrior spike in my opinion. I was feared and celebrated alike. Look, they cried. It's Richard and his magnificent all conkering nuts. Gave me a big head.

Hi Marcus. You know what. Me being observant, as you know,  totally missed the extended panel at the bottom. Yeah, Tom Thug's dad was furious to the point he can stretch the fabric of time is seems. Not sure though what's more terrifying. His dad's ability or mother seeing how she chased him down the street with a rather sharp looking French baguette. 😫👉🥖

Hi Marcus. Yeah, the humour is epic. Harry North does the series justice with his penmanship. Slowly but surely locating more pages and the comics.  Currently I have about half the run produced.  😎

Hi Marcus. Don't they just. I suppose Terry Nation must have took inspiration from somewhere when he came up with the Dalek concept.  Dread to know where the idea for the sonic screwdriver came from? 😳 🥒

Hi Marcus. Long time no speak. Yeah, totally agree. The draft is near to the final art. It's been painted using watercolours too, as said. Pretty unusual. Love Korky Paul's style. 😎

Cheers Daniel for the comment. Great page isn't it. Had so much trouble finding this particular Oink issue #52 from 1988 you wouldn't believe it. Think I had more trouble sourcing that than I did the art itself.

Hi Marcus. What stands out to me is the character in the top right corner of the page eating an overly large plate of chips (french fries). If that's a portion it's not the only thing that's stretched. His underpants must have its own Zip Code. 😳

Hi Marcus. Got the best of two worlds with this page. Tom Thug and Sonic. Big gamer here. Brings back memories of playing Sonic The Hedgehog back in 1992 when first released on the Sega Megadrive console. And yes my representation of a Hedgehog does look like it's farting in my face rather than showing speed.

Dennis has always had spikey hair since 1951, his first appearance in the Beano comic if my memory serves me correctly. And it's still as black and pointing skywards 74 years later.  Must be the gel he uses? Amazing to think the character Morph featured on Tony Hart's cult TV show , was drawn by the animation icon Bill Mevin, and that success paved the way for Nick Park, Peter Lord & David Sproxton to found Aardman Studios that gave birth to Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep. Hell yeah! 🥳 🐑

Hi Marcus. Funnily enough this is my very first Snail-Man page bought. Epic isnt is. And yeah, Aunty Maim does look a little like Popeye with her anchor tattoos. Would'nt like to meet her down a dark alleyway. Saying that. A lit one doesn't sound that appealing. (((😫)))
