I have never seen this one before, yet another classic from our beloved living legend! They don't make em like Sir Aragones anymore!
What a stunning acquisition! I remember staring at the Wrightson werewolf splash page prelim from the same issue at a Heroes Con back in the early 2000s. It was priced at $700 (which I didn't have at the time) but what a sight to behold. These are priceless and I'm amazed it was still in their collection. Huge congrats!

How cool is this? I've always been fascinated with Mexico's unique take on all things horror. From BRAINIAC to the bizarre world of EL SANTO they really seem to do a bang up job! THIS is such a brilliant example, nevermind its MOON KNIGHT, it's like peering into an alternate reality.
Any prelim that contains PATCHWORK MAN is gold in my book. That first panel alone is pure classic WRIGHTSON!
Man, growing up in the states I missed all of this UK goodness! The only issue I ever saw (outside of the reprinted EAGLE run) was the John Byrne guest issue that someone's dad purchased copies from NYC. This is simply GORGEOUS!

This one reminds me of the unsavory cast of characters from John Carpenter's THE FOG. Tom Sutton is such an underrated talent, he is criminally overlooked by the comic field and deserves more recognition. What an exquisite example!

Oh this one hits the sweet spot! I was first exposed to the radiator scene of ERASERHEAD in 8th grade during a free weekend of Showtime. My young mind was totally blown away by the strange lady singing "IN HEAVEN EVERTHING IS FINE." That's about all I could handle that evening but found myself seeking out a VHS copy months later to see what the heck that was all about which introduced me to the wonderfully surreal world of DAVID LYNCH. Next it was ELEPHANT MAN and then BLUE VELVET. I haven't been the same since. About ten years ago when we finished Route 66, I shared a meal with my wife at the original Shoney's Big Boy in LA where Lynch had his chocolate shake every day at 2:30PM. Hats off to a wonderful acquisition, Sienkiewicz is a natural channeling a genius like LYNCH.
Have always adored Wrightson's PATCHWORK MAN! This is such an outstanding example. I remember buying the DC Swamp Thing $1.00 reprints off the spinner rack back in the 70s, what a wonder introduction to the world of Wrightson.
These early Berni pieces are always a treat! Love seeing how his signature style took shape and changed the course of horror forever. Congrats!
There's something to be said for the Bronze Age of comics. Maybe it's the simplicity, maybe it's the creativity but certainly the overall coolness factor! Finding all of these in today's comics is quite a feat. Congrats on a phenomenal page.
I know the guy who owns the finished piece to this but I have to say, these pencils are superior. Love the depth and emotion. Congrats!
