KULL VS. TIGER KEL-JAR Owner: MARK ROBSON Comment posted on 11/4/2019

Apologies. Real shame, as have read all the Robert E Howard boks.Perhaps I was looking at the lady too much or literary laziness strikes again as I did not read the title. ![]() No problemo. I think I understand your fascination with female charms. For me the Tiger was the defining factor, for my financial investment. John Buscema had the wonderful habit of turning the fights of his heroes with an animal/creature/saurier/monster, into a fascinating panels battlepage. I had and still have a fascination and love for cat-creatures: cats, panthers, tigers, cheetahs, (and feline catwomen...). When I first read this comic I fell in love with this "Kull fights Tiger" page. Not long afterwards, the golden opportunity presented itself, when I was able to buy the original page in my local Antwerp (Belgium) comicshop, because the shop-owner had purchased it recently in a London comic convention. |

In real life the tiger would win as Conan has no weapon. Then again, Conan is like Wolverine.Indestructible.Great fun though. ![]() Peter Sullivan, Thanks for the comment and the comparison. The male antagonist, isn't Conan though, but another famous R.E.Howard character: (King) Kull, the legendary barbarian King of Atlantis, in an age before it was swallowed by the oceans. Kull, as a boy, was adopted by tigers... which makes the outcome rather particular... |
