This was an exciting annual, i think the first since annual 2 with new material, and what a fantastic extension to the Avengers mythos linking Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to the G/A Whizzer. A spectacular Kirby cover, from the era of his return to Marvel.

Love this page! Avengers/Defenders War, the biggest cross-over ever up to that point. The fact that Cap and Subby hadn't clashed since Avengers #4 says something - more than 100 issues!

Great page - aside from the fabulous Perez art, this page contrasts Ms Marvel and Wonderman. Wonderman's fear of death was a major plot point. Also, got to love the Perez gleem on Iron Man's armor, a styistic tell from that era.
