I have the book this piece is featured in, but is it the only instance where Mike Wieringo is credited as "Cranial Implant Studios"?
The overhead illustration appeared in the 1997 Flee-Skybox X-Men trading card set along with about 24 other Ringo illustrations.
These were actually spot illustrations of Fathom in a Wizard special
This illustration was used on page 24 of Wizard’s “How to Draw.” Mike did a segment on how characters move. There's several other drawings in that segment which I've never seen before including Quicksilver running and Moon Knight.
