Sweet Iron Hide!  Van's weren't as sexy as the Lamborghini, but his characterization was what made him a fan favorite.

It's a classic composition right at the moment before the kill shot to bring a level of suspense!

Very nice!  You get the same level of tension from this cover as the original version!

These were cool toys with the pullback feature and the automatic flip feature to transform.  Pretty simple concept, but it was another toy  innovation towards the end of the G1 era.

It's also a riff on the Transformers #43 cover!

Classic composition!  Great way to have each character of the team to have their own personality!  It's also a play on the Giant Size X-Men 1 to have the characters charge forward.

It's weird to have the Top Gun theme in my head when I'm looking at Thundercracker.

A romanticized view of the Decepticons as you can hear the rumbling of engines and the Top Gun anthem begin to play as they take to the skies on the march to war.

Pretty cool that Khanna left space up above for the logo even though he could have used the entire board.

These should be collected into a book!  Great conflicting expressions by Khanna in this faceoff composition!

God I love Casey's art! Although I don't picture Hound as a Guy Gardner type of character. Guess it's just the green color scheme?

Killer dogfight page with the Aerialbots!  It's the kind of scene you wished you had all the toys to pull off as a kid!

That jerk Starscream can't even relax for a sunny day at the beach.  Adding an element of the two human surfers in peril, brilliantly adds more urgency and tension to the cover.    

You'd never know that Frenzy could grow to this size from his cassette form!

It looks so complex!  I would guess he had figures to pose over a mirror to get this so believable and accurate in angle and scale!
