I never heard about this one. My wife and I, saw them live in 2009 as a opener for Def Leppard and Poison. This was one of Bun E. Carlo's last gigs behind the drums until his son took over.
The detail on this, is just amazing, and of course, a inker's nightmare . LOL. I've always loved your Batman work Trevor . Have you ever considered having this inked ?
George and Romeo sure were a good match. Romeo is on my FB friends list and he has done some amazing recreations of George's work.
Tony Harris can do no wrong when it comes to the Universal monsters. Plus, this one is from my all time favorite. Well done.
Carlos Pacheco was a wonderful talent who left us too soon. I'm sure right now, he is up in heaven with Neal Adams and George Perez having drawing contests. RIP.
Dick Giordano must've signedd this at a convention because the inks on this, are 100% Jerry Ordway , who IMO, was the best inker on this series.
Oh how I remember this one. It's the first issue which I did as a inker back in 2009 for AC. It was a flip book with FemForce on one side and Giantesses on the other. I inked the first giantess in this issue which was drawn by my friend Javier Lugo. It was the very 1st pro assignment I had ever done.
I read on wilkepedia that Carlos now has ALS, which is so sad. I've always enjoyed his work. I heard because of this, he decided to retire.
Great piece . I was recently able to have seen the whole serial on YouTube . This was made by Columbia and IMO, was much better than the 1943 serial. Robert Lowery was great as Batman .
All of the greats are leaving us and it sucks. To me, Tom Palmer was Neal Adam's best inker ever. RIP Tom.
I love Michael's versions of these great characters I have been a fan oof since the late 1960's.
George Klein was my favorite inker on Big John's Silver Age run on this book.
I was a huge fan of this series , which was on my buy list back in the 90's. What DC has done to the character now, is so disrespectful to Bill Parker and C.C. Beck.
Amazing likeness of Kirk Alyn , as the first on-screen Superman, from the 1948 serial.
This was inspired by a issue of Thor from 1966, which had Goldilock squaring off against Hercules.
To me, John Romita Sr. will always be the definitive Spider-Man artist. He made the strrip much better when Ditko left in 1966 and is the one that I grew up with, as a kid in the 1960's.
That is actually Irv Novick who drew this cover. As far as I know, C.C. Beck never worked for MLJ / Archie Comics. He was strictly a Fawcett guy, until DC revived the good ole' Captain Marvel in 1972. Then we worked for DC.
This was IMO, the best run this book ever had besides a couple of guys named Lee and Kirby.
This IMO, the best piece I have seen from you. George would be so proud if he had saw this.
IMO, this was the best work that George did, especially when he was inked by Jerry Ordway. It doesn't get any better than this.
I heard about his passing , just a few minutes ago. RIP George.
Jim Lee is one of the mosr recnt influential artists today , and rightfully so. However, his decision to launch the New 52 , was a huge mistake IMO. That was one of the worst eras in DC Comics history and I was so glad when it was done with.
I remember way back around 1992, when JR Jr. was doing the art on a second Punisher series and was immediately blown away at how he gave the character a more of a rough edge look. IMO, he is the best artist to have ever done the character.
I very briefly back in 2009 /2010 , did some work for AC Comics on their Fem-Force book doing a few backup stories as a inker. I was first exposed to his work as a 10 year old back in 1969, when my mom bought me a issue of X-Men which he did. He was and still is, my main influence towards becoming a artist. There are so many of us which he influenced and if it wasn't for him, you probably wouldn't have Jim Lee and his fans , being involved in the business. RIP Neal and thanks for the great artwork.

How come JB is not working for either DC or Marvel , continues to stump me. He still has the goods and easily blows away most of today's so called pros.
Lee Weeks is IMO, the modern day John Buscema. I've never seen a bad piece from him.
I'm pretty sure that this was pencilled by Ron Wilson with inks by Romita sr.
This was , as far as I know, Wayne Boring's last work before he passed away . Great stuff which proved he still had it.
Frenz can do no wrong in my book. How come he's not working for Marvel or DC today, eludes me.
