This run ranks so high on my list (BP or otherwise) and I'm super happy to see an example (a great one!) in your collection. Priest and Tex were DYNAMITE on this book. Love getting to see Texeira's art in this form and as imressive as his washes are, it's his use of white highlights that adds the extra ingredient for me. Fantastic pickup man....congrats!

The sound effect? YES! Love Wolverine and it's the best onomatopoeia in comics!

Agreed about the indie/European sensibility. I think Chris carries some Quitely influneces in his work but also channelled some of Ladronn who had a nice run on the book around this time. Some of the blocky rendering on Cable's costume really echoes what Ladronn was doing which in turn was a take on Kirby. 

Definitely carrying that residual Ladronn influence from the run!
