“You wanna play hero, right?
Affirmative.
Your funeral, sucka!
BOP!!!”
Absolutely love this!! One can immediately tell Alan had fun with this.
It’s also a bittersweet reminder of comics in the middle of a vast creative era.
Beautiful but tense piece of art. Almost akin to the turning point when the Hulk would become the Maestro. Congratulations on this stunning piece.
This is a beautifully rendered piece. I can certainly hear John Williams' score just by the artwork alone. The shading and details, especially on the droids, are quite remarkable. Another impressive addition AK.
No matter how many incarnations of the Spidey suit are made, nothing beats the original. McKone works his magic with Spidey in his element.
I loved the poster as a kid. This recreation is beautiful beyond words and should be be framed in a wall for all to admire. Congratulations!
This is a beauty! I always preferred this cover more than FF#1 as it was the true representation of the team. Congrats!
Yeah, I read Ian's post as well and actually I felt complimentary towards him. Galactus is a difficult character to draw. However there's now proof he excels at it. I will have to think of another challenge for him.

When I had arrived at the con, Leonardi was already done with the pencils. Green was halfway into the inks but I bought it and just waited till it was completed. I know artists bring pre-drawn art to shows but I never expected it would be something like this.
Good observation as always. In discussing the commission with Raney, I suggested to use that classic cover as reference but from the Avengers perspective. Raney is one of the friendliest and talented artists out there,
WOW!!!!! Close the ballots....this is the 2022 commission of the year! Huge congratulations!
My jaw hit the proverbial floor when I saw this. This is an exquisite masterpiece drawn by a master artist. It was criminal his time on the X-Men was short. Yet it's a reminder how damn good his short stint was as compared to what passes for dramatic storytelling these days. Congratulations on this beautiful piece.
