Terrific page! This was one of my favorite reads of theirs in several years.
He does such great work! I've enjoyed his work since I read X-O Manowar a few years back (or maybe a little before then). I love his work in the same way I love Esad Ribic's work - it just has such a great sense of place and adventure. Not that I'm particularly familiar, but I assume they were both inspired by Frazetta and other great artists in that lineage.

Congratulations! This is an absolutely amazing piece. It really evokes the incredible feelings of otherworldliness and richness that are in "On a Sunbeam" (also my favorite work of hers).

Thanks Marcus! All very true. I love Burnham's work and I love this book. And most of the available pages from the book are far too terrifying to have on display in my family's home. I love this page because, exactly as you say, it's the two distinct sets of people/aliens, messing around with things beyond their understanding.
Thanks Marcus, you're so right! It's a very emotional climactic moment in the story, and the back and forth between the scenes really sells that.
