You gotta check these out! The dracula issue is my favorite.
The covers for this series were so dynamic and sexy, definitely up there with Finch's best Marvel work. Nice addition, congrats!
What a historic page, and one of the best to boot! Congrats!
Owning an Orbik is a dream and this is a heck of a piece! Classic composition and his brush work is unmistakable. Congrats!
Holy crap man, this is the grail of Schultz grails! One of these days I'll snag an inked piece but it won't be anything close to this. Huge congrats on this stunner!
An absolute treasure and one of the top Lorna pieces out there. An incredible acquisition, congrats!
What a great subject for Mike and she's definitely a character I'd like to see more artists tackle. Well done, congrats!
I'm glad you feel that way about it too Bill! I'll be dead honest, Incubus as a movie does not hold some special place in my heart. In fact it's one of the most disturbing horror movies I've ever seen. But the imagery of this piece far outstrips the film, and yeah, it's a frickin' Struzan!
As usual, thanks for stopping by and dropping some kind words in my gallery, you're much appreciated.
I've met Andy a few times and seen his work up close and "precise" barely begins to describe it. And his work is anything but mechanical, I see so much painstaking attention to detail and skill poured into his pieces. This one is a masterpiece! I've been wanting something from Andy for years (not quite 19 but close!) so this is a huge accomplishment. Congrats!
Totally agreed, super similar to that one as well. If he did use Bo Derek as the reference for this one I'm totally fine with that!
And you are the undisuputed expert in this area! Thank you!
At some point we're just happy with what we have, right? I'm not sure if that's how it actually works :D
I feel the same way, there are definite comparisons here (and also this Creature from the Black Lagoon poster) but this one really drives home the other-worldness of the movie. Thanks for checking it out!
You are so right, his hand colors really ratchet these pieces up several notches. I had my eye on your cover for a little while too, it's an amazing piece!
Love seeing Jonni get some new life and this one is super delightful. Congrats!
ChatGPT definitely captured the essence of this page in the description! Another great page by Steven for sure!
Thanks Kavi! I think my favorite thing about this run of pages are his painstaking ink hatching. Makes my wrist hurt :D
That's exactly how I felt about it too! It's admittedly sparse and Jack Gray did most of the heavy lifting with the backgrounds and colors, but her expression is to die for.
I've always loved Rick's work on these characters and this piece is wonderful. Congrats!
I have a couple from this artist and I'm pretty sure they're AI with colors over the top but that doesn't stop them from looking pretty cool. Lot to like about this one!
A perfect subject for Mark's brush! Lovely piece, congrats!
Pound for pound he was definitey out-inking the competition during this time!
Campbell's line work never disappoints and his Spidey covers were some of the best. Congrats on a good one!
Do you remember the Spawn style toys they put out? They were pretty cool!
This one is melting my brain, so many amazing things happening at once! Congrats my man!
If you've ever seen Bachalo's Evil Ernie Resurrection cover, this is very reminiscent of that. And that's fine with me!
Thank you! I'm always curious how these characters will hold up with modern artists and audiences and I agree, Nick nailed them both!
Gotta be one of the best cover recreations I've seen! Michel really went all out on this one and you can tell he loved doing it. Congrats my man!
Budd is so great, really an underrated guy in the industry. The lighting on this is excellent. Congrats!
Stunning! Steven's pencils are so delicate and detailed and this is a great piece. Congrats!
This is wonderful Mark! I love Mike's pencil work and this one has such energy for being so subtle of line. Congrats!
Thanks Marcus! Those blues are definitely what sucked me in!
Thank you for the kind words and thanks for stopping by!
Hell yes, this is so incredible. I'd die to have a piece from this original run and a cover is absolutely insane. Tim's inks were on an entirely other level for this series and still blow away so many of the black & white books of the time. Appreciate you sharing this, it's gorgeous!
I've always loved this one and Tomas is a master. If you ever think about parting with it please let me know!
