Love this piece.  Saw it on eBay recently but I guess you beat me to it.  I picked up the recent Elric cover he did, and this is so different, but equally as amazing!

Fantastic catch!  Just pulled up page 128 in the studio and you are spot on!  Looks like an early draft as he switched up this page but the other page is almost the same.

Picked it up from John Davey over at Jayde Designs while working on Urish's Hoard.  Researching that book was a dangerous endevour for my wallet.

I've heard that before as well, but I think the originals have more border than appears in the print version.  I'd have to take it out of the frame to verify that.

I saw yours on Heritage.  Glad I bought mine way earlier. 

When I moved to Maryland as a kid I worked for Joel Pollack owner of Big Planet Comics and one time art dealer for Berni.  I remember visiting his house and seeing the title splash for Frankenstein hanging in the front hallway and I was floored.  Now I visit Berni's Frankenstein peices in museums when I get the chance.  Such a talent. 

I not sure these were painted four to a page and cut up.  I think they were just printed that way.
