I'm not sure you can list Michael Goden as the penciler, unless this is being traced from a xerox. This is not a Michael Golden original.
Yes! Can you believe it is made with candy wrappers?? He is taking in sketch cover commissions, btw. Send me a message!
This is a large piece too. More European size pages. I love these. If they don't sell this weekend, I may just keep them. LOL
I agree Marvelman! It was so different than anything that had been done before.
I like these colored versions, Rich. Can you send me hi res of each of them! :-)
Let me get a hi res scan of it when you get a chance. 100% 300 dpi. You can send it to me via yousenditcom to: [email protected] That would be fantastic!!
Ah thanks Ken. I was awfully tired and cranky at that show-- so I apologize to all, but you are a sweetie for your kind words. Golden and I think the world of you. :-)
I really do love how this turned out, as did everyone that saw it!!! :-)
I do so love all of the Wind in the Willows pieces as well.
LOL, you are right, Will. This is yours. Michael was working on it first thing! :-)
I'm glad you like it. I think this one is particularly nice.
Can I get a hi-res scan of this sent to [email protected] I don't have a copy of this one!! --Renee Michael's Agent
Send me a hi-res of this. I may have a place for it in a future sketchbook! :-)
It was great seeing you again as always Dusty. And wonderful talking with you. Golden and I enjoyed it, and so happy you like the piece. --Renee
LOL, I love Kees's comment on the brutal nipple. Glad someone picked up on that. :-)
Did you get this one, Eddy? I loved this one! I need a scan! :-)
LOL. I don't know Richard didn't like it. He didn't tell us that when we gave it to him as a gift! LOL Aw well... Richard is a friend, and if he didn't want to keep it, that's okay. :-) Nice snag Massa.
I was the editor on the series! I loved having Michael do all the covers. He's an amazing talent. This piece is currently for sale. It's never been offered on the market before.
Ari, you can commission one! Tex has one more commission to go, then I can open his list again. :-)
Great to see you at the show, as always, Off White. :-) --R.
I like it. Ya know, I'd love to get a scan of this, 100%, 300 dpi. --Renee (Mark's agent)
So glad you got this Wayne! And so nice seeing you too at ECCC. --R. :-)
This was one of the covers to the "Cholly and Flytrap" series when it first came out from Epic Comics. Always one of my favorite covers by Arthur. Happy to own it.
I'll get a better scan of it at some point. It's been framed and on my wall for years.
I always wanted to revive the character when I was at DC. Him and Brother Power the Geek. :-)
I'll include it in an art book sometime. It's a beautiful piece. Almost like an old tarot card. :-)
I love the way this one turned out! Beautiful. Nice job Steve! And a good addition to your collection, Chris! Glad we could make it happen (not that I had much to do with it)! :-)
LOL, of course when I asked Tex to do it for you, I knew WHAT to ask for! :-)
