An excellent representation of Colan's dynamic storytelling abilities. Good stuff man!
Splashy! I quite thoroughly enjoyed Olivetti's short run on Daredevil. Good stuff!
I dig the different camera angles of the same fall. Mazzucchelli's mastery of storyboarding is well displayed on this page.
I really need to get some good scans of my stuff. As to who drew the figures, I assumed Colan but you could be right as you're probably better qualified than I to make that call.
The first page of an awesome new series! How cool is that? It's a gorgeous panel page besides all that. Well played sir.
I whole heartedly agree. It really is an awesome sight to behold.
It's so cool that you have this. This mind blowing piece depicting my favorite femme fatale couldn't be in the possession of a more righteous dude.
Thanks man. My obsession with the character is in no small part due to Bradstreet's covers on what is among my favorite series of all time.
Thanks man. I have described it as "the" Maleev DD cover though that's definitely debatable as there are so many iconic examples. I'm very fortunate to have been able to acquire what I believe to be the cream of the crop.
Very cool man. It was my proper introduction to Daredevil as well. I've since started from issue 1 (1964) and read all the way to current. My enormous fandom of the character started here in this story.
WOW! Excuse me whilst I retrieve my lower jaw from the floor. While I don't mean to sound ungrateful for what we got, I sure could do with some more Quesada and Palmiotti Daredevil in my life.
What the hell is going on here? Forget about how insanely talented Bolland is for a moment. First impression of the content alone has me wanting to read this issue so that I understand the context of this cover. Which is exactly what a comic book cover ought to do. Sell the comic that is. Very impressive collection you've amassed Marcus.
Yessir. We got some pretty awesome comics out of the deal. I wish Quesada and Palmiotti had stayed on the title for beyond that first story arc as it suited them as welll as anyone before or since.
Very cool cover! Bradstreet is a bad, bad man.
I love the solid Bronze Age character designs of both Mandrill and Nekra.
Colan brought a great sense of cinematography to his pages for sure.
Thanks man. Colan is an excellent storyteller. Him
along with Shores were the perfect team for Daredevil.
I thoroughly enjoyed the run of Daredevil/ Black Widow partnership.
I prefer Colan's Black Widow to any other artist's depiction of her.
It's new on here tho brah! You best get used to seeing my stuffs on multiple fronts. 😜
Yo Ruben! I'd assumed as much but you know how assuming stuffs can turn out. #teamOAH 😆
Agreed. He is my favorite artist of my favorite character because of how well he realizes movement in a still image. That's not the only reason but it's a huge selling point of his work on the title.
Thank you sir. I'm a huge fan of his and Bendis run on the title.
Agreed. It's the most striking Maleev Daredevil cover of them all if you ask this guy.
Thank you sir. It's the cornerstone of my modest collection for sure.
I've wondered if Bradstreet uses models as references for his art because of the photo realism and the consistency of the characters from one image to the next. I mean whether or not he's sporting the skull, there's no mistaking Bradstreet's Punisher for any other character.
